Powersystems is honoured to announce a donation of £1,000 to The Kris Boyd Charity, made on behalf of Robert Meiklem, in memory of his son, Robbie Meiklem. Robbie, a talented 19-year-old footballer for Girvan FC’s Under-20s development team, tragically passed away at Ayr Hospital on Saturday, 23 September 2023.
The Kris Boyd Charity, established in 2018 by former professional footballer Kris Boyd, is dedicated to advancing health by raising awareness of mental health issues. The charity has been instrumental in providing wellness workshops, mental health talks in schools, and supporting various community initiatives across Scotland. Kris Boyd founded the charity following personal experiences with mental health challenges within his family, aiming to educate and support individuals facing similar struggles.
In response to Powersystems contribution, The Kris Boyd Charity expressed gratitude, stating that such support is invaluable in continuing their mission to make a positive impact on mental health and well-being.
Powersystems continues to extend its deepest condolences to the Meiklem family during this difficult time.
We hope that this donation will aid The Kris Boyd Charity in its ongoing efforts to support mental health initiatives and honour Robbie’s memory.
