Powersystems is excited to introduce our new mental health awareness initiative, “Let’s Talk About Mental Health.” As part of our commitment to employee well-being, we have created informative posters to display across our premises and operational sites. These posters will promote available mental health resources and encourage open discussions, helping reduce the stigma around mental health.
Promoting Mental Well-Being
Mental health is vital to overall well-being. At Powersystems, we recognise the need to support our employees with valuable resources. Our campaign highlights key contacts for mental health support services, including:
- The Lighthouse Club
The Lighthouse Club provides emotional, physical, and financial support to those in the construction community. Their 24/7 helpline, safe meeting spaces, and online resources help individuals navigate tough times. For more details, visit Lighthouse Club. - Mind
As a leading UK charity, Mind offers resources, information, and support for those facing mental health challenges. From helplines to online guides, Mind helps individuals understand their rights and access the help they need. For more information, visit Mind. - ANDYSMANCLUB
This peer support group provides a safe space for men to talk openly about mental health struggles. Through community-building and conversation, Andy’s Man Club encourages men to seek help and share their experiences. Discover more at Andy’s Man Club. - Samaritans
Samaritans offer a safe space to talk anytime, 24/7. Their trained volunteers listen without judgment, alleviating isolation and distress. Samaritans’ services are free and confidential. Learn more at Samaritans.
Internal Support at Powersystems Well-Being Ambassadors
We also prioritise internal support systems to assist our employees with mental health. Our team includes St. John’s Trained Mental Health First Aiders, our Well-being Ambassadors are available to offer immediate support and guidance for mental health concerns. These first responders listen and provide advice on how to access further help.
In addition, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with Health Assured provides confidential support on various matters, including mental health, financial concerns, and personal issues. The Health Assured platform offers 24/7 counselling, legal advice, and numerous online resources. For more details, visit Health Assured.
A Culture of Support
Through “Let’s Talk About Mental Health,” we aim to build a culture of openness, where mental health discussions are encouraged and seeking help is the norm. We understand that mental health impacts everyone, and by providing these resources, we hope to empower our employees to take proactive steps towards well-being.
We invite everyone at Powersystems to engage with this initiative. Whether by sharing experiences, using the available resources, or simply supporting a colleague, we can all contribute to a workplace that prioritises mental health.
Join the Conversation
We encourage all partners to join discussions about mental health, share their thoughts, and reach out when needed. Together, we can break down the barriers surrounding mental health, fostering a community where everyone feels valued and supported.
